Yesterday, January 23rd, Berlin’s Madame Tussauds unveiled their new Ryan Gosling wax figure (left). This iteration looks a little off, because the skin work on the face and forearms are shiny. A previous version (right) in London’s wax museum looked a little more life-like, because it showed less skin. I have also noticed that his face is missing some sun spots, like the one near his left eye (below).
Overall, mainstream media isn’t too impressed by this most recent Ryan Gosling figure. They all say to skip the Berlin wax museum because of this one figurine; don’t. There are other celebrity wax figures there, too, and I’m sure it may still be worth your time.
Just like how drawing faces is hard, so is making wax figurines. I would say although they didn’t do so well this time, I know they can still make stunning wax figures like the previous Ryan Gosling figure.
