Saturday, January 28th, Trump sent out yet another executive order. This time, it was to make space for Stephen Bannon to join the National Security Council. Bannon is Trump’s chief political strategist, and is often accused of racism and being associated with the white nationalists or “alt-right” movement.
Some recent events surrounding Bannon: ran Breitbart news (known for conspiracy theories), drafting the immigration ban on seven countries, and told the media to shut up. Bannon’s experience includes the Navy, investment banker, and Hollywood producer, none of which relate to politics. Senator Bernie Sanders called out Bannon on his lack of foreign relations experience, and it quickly became a Twitter handle: #StopPresidentBannon.
So far, Bannon has been an integral part in the foreign policy decisions of the Trump administration, and many feel that he is not the best person for the job. During the immigration mandate, which Trump called well planned, the TSA were not ready until the day of. Furthermore, there was a huge mix-up with all the green card holders and who can and cannot enter the country.
“The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.” Do you think Bannon knows the answer? Let him preach and we’ll see how wrong he is…
